❊ Our Commitment
At Little Sam, we believe that strong foundations support thriving children and families. Little Samaritan Montessori Center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), helping ensure children receive nutritious, balanced meals each day. Our meals and snacks are prepared on-site by our amazing kitchen staff, allowing us to serve fresh, thoughtfully planned options for our school family.
We proudly partner with the Mississippi Early Childhood Inclusion Center (MECIC) to support inclusive practices and implement the Pyramid Model. This framework emphasizes nurturing relationships, social-emotional development, and positive guidance strategies so every child feels supported, valued, and successful.
Little Sam also serves as a learning site for future educators. We collaborate with Copiah-Lincoln Community College (Co-Lin), The University of Southern Mississippi (USM), and other area schools to provide opportunities for students to complete observation and practicum hours in a high-quality, supportive environment.
Our program maintains a CLASS® participation badge, reflecting our commitment to strong teacher-child interactions. Through the CLASS framework, we focus on emotional support, classroom organization, and instructional support to create meaningful, engaging experiences for children.
Little Samaritan Montessori Center is licensed by the State of Mississippi. We follow all state regulations, including proper staff-to-child ratios, health and safety practices, and standards for quality care. Providing a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment is at the heart of everything we do.
In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations and policies, Little Samaritan Montessori Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its CACFP program or activities. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child and family is welcomed, respected, and supported.
